My Journey into Development

From a young age, I’ve been a self-starter. In high school, I earned my cosmetology license alongside my diploma. Later, I obtained my barber’s license. Throughout my years in the industry, I explored a wide range of experiences. I worked with high-end clientele in Beverly Hills and in traditional barbershops offering classic services like hot shaves. After gaining extensive experience, I decided to venture into business ownership. In 2018, my husband (also a barber) and I opened our own barbershop. He has since taken over the business, which has survived both the 2020 pandemic and Hurricane Helene. That resilience is a testament to the dedication we poured into it.

Bridging Communication & Development

One of my greatest strengths, beyond problem-solving, is my ability to communicate effectively. With years of experience in barbering and cosmetology, I’ve worked with a diverse range of clients. I mastered active listening, problem-solving, and clear communication. These skills transfer seamlessly into software and web development. Moreover, collaboration, client interaction, and understanding user needs are just as critical as writing clean, efficient code. As a result, I thrive in team environments and enjoy breaking down complex ideas into accessible, easy-to-understand solutions.

Why I Love Being a Passionate Web & Software Developer

Now, I’ve channeled that same entrepreneurial spirit into software and web development. I enjoy solving problems, building innovative solutions, and continuously pushing my skills forward. Consequently, as a passionate Web & Software Developer, I am dedicated to honing my expertise in coding, design, and system optimization. Whether I’m developing an interactive web application or debugging a complex script, I embrace every challenge as an opportunity to grow.

Beyond Development

When I’m not immersed in development or skill-building, I love spending time with my husband and our dogs. We enjoy the outdoors or cozying up with a good movie. Additionally, as a hobby, I enjoy baking—and, of course, reaping the delicious rewards. I’ve also been dedicated to learning Spanish for the past three years. While school has temporarily slowed my progress, I’m looking forward to improving my skills and mustering up the courage to engage in more conversations.
